THRIFTY RENTA CARS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thrifty Renta Cars will apply a cancellation fee of £5.00 (including VAT) to any of our service bookings that are canceled less than 24 hours before the chosen hire period is due to start. Bookings that have commenced will not be eligible for cancellation.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before renting a vehicle from Thrifty Rental Cars. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions:
RENTER AGREES TO:
1. Rental Requirements:
The renter must be at least 21 years old (25 for certain vehicle categories) and hold a valid driver's license.
International renters must present a valid passport, driver's license, and a return flight ticket.
Renters are required to provide a credit card for reservation and a security deposit. Debit cards may be accepted with prior authorization.
2. Vehicle Pick-Up/Delivery and Return:
Vehicles are rented on a 24-hour basis. A one-hour grace period is allowed for return; after that, an additional day's rental will be charged.
Pick-up and return locations are specified in the rental agreement. A fee may apply for returning the vehicle to a different location.
3. Insurance:
Basic insurance is included in the rental rate. Additional coverage options are available at an extra cost.
The renter is responsible for any damages or theft, up to the full value of the vehicle, in the absence of adequate insurance coverage.
4. Fuel Policy:
Renters must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at the time of pick-up or will be charged for refueling, as specified in the rental agreement.
5. Mileage Limitation
Standard Mileage Policy: The standard mileage policy for most Thrifty Rental Cars vehicles includes a specified number of miles (or kilometers) per day that are covered under your rental rate. This mileage limit may vary based on the rental location and vehicle type.
Excess Mileage Charges: If you exceed the allocated mileage limit during your rental period, additional charges will apply. The excess mileage charge will be clearly stated in your rental agreement.
Unlimited Mileage Rentals: In some cases, Thrifty Rental Cars may offer unlimited mileage rentals for specific vehicle categories or promotions. If your rental agreement includes unlimited mileage, you will not be charged for exceeding a set mileage limit.
Odometer Readings: The rental vehicle's odometer readings will be recorded at the time of pickup and return to determine the total mileage driven during the rental period.
Additional Mileage Packages: In some instances, you may have the option to purchase additional mileage packages at the time of booking to accommodate your travel needs.
Off-Road or Restricted Area Usage: Please be aware that certain vehicle types may have restrictions on off-road usage. Additionally, traveling to certain remote or restricted areas may have mileage limitations or additional fees. It is crucial to discuss these details with our staff when making your reservation.
Calculating Mileage: Mileage calculations may vary between locations. The specific method used to calculate mileage overages will be outlined in your rental agreement. It's important to review this information to understand how excess mileage charges will be applied.
6. Additional Drivers:
Additional drivers may be added for a fee, subject to age and driver's license requirements.
7. Child Seats and Accessories:
Child seats and other accessories are available for rent. Advance reservations are recommended.
8. Traffic Violations and Fines:
Renters are responsible for all traffic violations and fines incurred during the rental period.
9. Vehicle Maintenance:
Renters must ensure proper care and maintenance of the vehicle. Notify Thrifty Rental Cars immediately in case of any mechanical issues.
10. Extension of Rental Period:
If you wish to extend the rental period, please contact us at least 24 hours before the agreed return time.
11. Cancellation and Refunds:
A. Return and Refund Policy:
Vehicle Return: Upon returning the rented vehicle, please ensure it is in the same condition as when you received it. Any damage or discrepancies should be reported to our staff at the return location.
Refueling: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was rented. If the fuel level is lower, you will be charged for the cost of refueling at the rates specified in your rental agreement.
Late Returns: Vehicles must be returned on time as specified in your rental agreement. A one-hour grace period is allowed. Late returns exceeding the grace period may be subject to an additional day's rental charge.

No-Show Policy: If you fail to pick up your reserved vehicle without prior notice, a no-show fee may apply.
Reservation Changes: We understand that travel plans can change. Please contact our customer service team at least 24 hours in advance if you need to modify or cancel your reservation.
Refunds: Refunds for cancellations will be processed in accordance with the terms specified in your reservation confirmation. Refunds may take several business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment method and financial institution.

Therefore, it is essential to review your reservation confirmation and any additional terms and conditions provided by Thrifty Rental Cars for precise information regarding these policies.
12. Disclaimer:
Thrifty Rental Cars is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in the rental vehicle.
